Raging Heroes Blood Vestals - Next Ten

Skin, eyes, makeup, and lady bits done on the next ten Blood Vestals from Raging Heroes. Such a breeze using Citadel Contrast Paint to get the skin done in two steps. Eyebrows are usually something I avoid painting on models, but the way the eyes are framed with the purple eye shadow really makes them pop as part of the face (plus RH actually digitally modeled the eyebrows, so why not paint em!).

Now comes the long part of black base coating everything back in to finish the models. Always find this the most time-consuming part, but Black Templars Contrast has been helpful for the edges where skin meets clothing or hair.

Raging Heroes Blood Vestals - First Five

First five painted Raging Heroes Blood Vestals miniatures. These are the older metal models still available from before their Kickstarter that introduced newer sculpts. They will fit in well with my Games-Workshop Dark Elves and count as Witch Elves.

I prefer the more simple styles of these models compared to the newer versions. The goal is to have two units of twelve painted at some point for either Dragon Rampant, SAGA Age of Magic, or any other skirmish fantasy rules that pique my interest.

Four were painted using a standard layering process for the skin, while the fourth in line starting from the left was painted using Citadel Contrast Paints for her skin, followed by a single highlight of Reaper Fair Skin Highlight.

The process was so quick on her skin I'll be doing that for the remainder of the models. The first test model I painted is first in line on the far left, and I think the styles match up fairly well considering how long it's been since I painted her.

I have about 20 or so magnetized Dark Elf rank and file I need to finish up as well.

Orktober! 2019 Part 1

Been a while but felt Orktober would be a good reason to post some new minis. The plan is to use This Is Not a Test as a base rules set and do some Gorkamorka styled warband skirmish games.

Here we have some Games Workshop and Kromlech ork bits for the first batch of Goffs. I have Bad Moons, Goffs, Evil Sunz, and Blood Axes planned as the current warbands.

The first five Goff Ork Boyz

Sluggas and choppas, Cannon armed Boyz

Slugga and choppa, Cannon armed 'Ard Boyz

The Kromlech armored bodies, heads and weapons are a great fit with the GW kit, and I've got a whole bunch of other parts from Spellcrow and For Fun Miniatures to throw into the mix.
