British Airborne Platoon for Battlegroup Overlord

Finished up a platoon of 20mm British Airborne for Battlegroup Overlord.

These miniatures are a mix of AB, Battlemodels, Blitz, and Drew's Militia (OOP but on eBay every now and then...), and all play really nice together.

I have two more platoons to paint, along with jeeps, crews, AT guns, and a lot more.

Has it really been that long?

Yes, it has.

So, stuff I've painted.

First up, some 20mm winter American infantry for some late '44 Ardennes action. These are WarTime and Battlefield/Blitz.

Keeping with the winter theme, my Frostgrave Necromancer and his warband. These are the Northstar metal and plastics, with a bit of greenstuff and a few Westwind heads.

The start of a possible Barbarian themed warband. These are Bronze Age Miniatures.

20mm SS in Normandy

First two squads and a platoon command for Battlegroup Overlord. Figures are a mix of Wartime, Battlefield/Blitz, Elhiem, and AB Figures.

The pea dot and autumn oak leaf were some nice changes from the summer oak leaf I'd done for the previous SS infantry platoons I'd painted.

Also started in on some PaK 40 anti-tank guns from Italeri. These have been modified to move the forward armor plate back closer to the gun mantlet.

2015 is here, and the first minis have been painted! This is the first squad of Germans for my Stalingrad project.
